cannot see this band of light with the naked eye, but we can feel this type of light in the form of heat. Our sun produces most of its energy output in the infrared segment of the spectrum.  Infrared rays heat your body without having to heat the air in-between, through a process called conversion.

     The infrared is divided into 3 segments by wavelengths, measured in microns; near infrared: 0.76~1.5 microns; middle infrared: 1.5~5.6 microns; and far infrared: 5.6~1000 microns. Among these segments, only far infrared penetrates organic substances such as the human body so that the warming effect is very uniform.silouette_2

Infrared Saunas differ from traditional saunas as it uses infrared energy to directly penetrate into the body’s tissue up to 1.5 inches to produce sweating.

     Traditional saunas use steam to heat the air inside the sauna, which then heats your body until you begin to sweat.  In order for this to be effective, temperatures must reach upwards of 190º Fahrenheit. Infrared saunas only need a temperature of up to 120º Fahrenheit to obtain the same effect. These lower temperatures make the environment more tolerable, while also allowing you to breath easier.

     Infrared energy is not only safe, but is also highly beneficial for our bodies. Far Infrared lamps are actively used for medical treatments by physicians and chiropractors, as well as physical and massage therapists.



Why do we offer ONLY  Carbon Fiber far infrared heated saunas… and not Ceramic or Traditional saunas?

Although Ceramic may be less expensive, it is older technology, the heating elements create uncomfortable hot spots, and the elements do not last as long, so warranties are not as robust.

Traditional saunas equate to a much larger monthly power bill, needing 220/240 v power. Also, almost always an electrician is needed to install the a new electric circuit which can cost an extra $500 to $3000. Traditional saunas also take 2 to 3 times longer to heat up and the purchase cost is 2 to 5 times more than our far infrared Carbon heated saunas, also they do not give off the far infrared rays of light that have been clinically proven to aid in improving many health related issues brought on from carrying toxins in our system throughout our life.

We like to use a new car purchase as an example to help show the differences: There are many different types of cars out there, and when getting one, you almost always take into consideration other factors besides price.   One, is the relationship between going fast and getting good gas mileage.   Most all cars that go fast… get poor gas mileage… and most cars that get good gas mileage are not that fast…  It is very hard to design a car that gets good gas mileage and goes fast as well.

Good Gas Mileage is like Emissivity…

Emissivity: This is a term that is used in the sauna industry to explain why one type of heating element is better than another. It is the relative ability of a surface of an object to emit energy by radiation. The closer to the natural state of an object, the higher or more efficient the emissivity rate. How do far infrared sauna sessions remove toxins from our body?
